Last week, the best drivers on the West Coast came to compete for the 2nd round at the new Thunder Alley Racepark in Beamount, California. The new track was finished just days before the race. The layout consisted of a huge tripple jump, a double double, and several elevation changes. With 117 entries, the race was a huge sucess.

Qualifying saw Kyosho's Jared Tebo take TQ with a fast 12 lap run. Mugen's Bobby Tillman took 2nd with a 12 lap run as well, followed by Chad Bradley, Greg Waller, Greg Luna, and Gene Hickerson.

The main event was run under the lights in the cold desert air. Tebo took the early lead, followed by Bradley. Hickerson, Waller, and Cody King battled for 3rd. Half way throught the main, Bradley passed Tebo for the
lead, while Hickerson took over 3rd spot. Near the end, Tebo had some battery problems and dropped out. That gave Team Mugen's Bradley the win, followed by Hickerson's Xray XB8, and Hobbico/Kyosho driver Cody King taking 3rd place.
